Blake Shelton’s latest single features his wedding vows to Gwen Stefani.
The track, titled We Can Reach the Stars, comes four months after the country crooner and Gwen tied the knot at their Oklahoma ranch.
Alongside a snap of the pair, he announced on social media: “Gwen and I decided we were going to write our own vows for the wedding, but I decided to surprise her by writing a song instead…”
Carson Daly, who officiated the pair’s wedding, added beneath the post: “You didn’t decide to! I forced you to.
“Thank Jesus too, yielded the best wedding moment & a hit song! You should buy me a tracker w the royalties cowboy.”
Earlier this year, he revealed: “I told him, because when he was singing his vows.. the radio guy in me, I’m like, ‘That’s a hit song’. I don’t think he had a name for it. I texted him last night and… he said Reach the Star was the working title. Hopefully he’ll record it.”
In a subsequent post, Blake admitted he’s enormously proud of both the song, beaming: “I’m really proud of #WeCanReachTheStars and I’m really honoured to be with @gwenstefani.
“That’s why we got married in the first place. That’s why we wear rings… because we want everyone to know. I’m thrilled to share this song with the world.”
