Beyoncé has returned to No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart for the first time in 14 years with Texas Hold ‘Em.
The lead track from ‘Act II’ of the superstar’s ‘Renaissance’ project becomes her sixth overall chart-topper and her first since the Lady Gaga collaboration Telephone in 2010.
Prior to that, her last solo No. 1 was 2008’s If I Were A Boy.
Beyoncé’s other chart-toppers include Crazy In Love with JAY Z (2003), Déjà Vu with JAY Z (2006) and Beautiful Liar with Shakira (2007).
As a member of Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé claimed two further UK No. 1s – Independent Women (2000) and Survivor (2001).
Her latest release introduces a new country sound for the diva, following on from the house influence that ran through recent singles like Break My Soul and Cuff It.
