Beyoncé is reportedly in talks to be the next artist to headline the Las Vegas Sphere.
The US superstar is being eyed for a $10 million show at the groundbreaking location, currently home to U2’s ‘U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere’ residency, according to the New York Post, and is said to have already toured the venue.
On the back of her ‘Renaissance World Tour’, she is said to have had discussions with the executive chairman of MSG Networks, James Dolan, about doing a residency there next year.
It’s no surprise Beyoncé is top of bosses’ lists; the Cuff It star raked in a reported $579 million for her ‘Renaissance World Tour’, which became the highest-grossing tour ever by a female artist.
Next month, Beyoncé is taking her show to audiences worldwide with the release of her latest concert movie. Hitting cinemas December 1, the film documents the US superstar’s latest world tour in support of her global chart-topping seventh LP.
“In this world that is very male-dominated, I’ve had to be really tough,” she says in a voiceover in the new clip. “To balance motherhood and being on this stage, it just reminds me of who I really am.”
According to the synopsis, ‘Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé‘ “accentuates the journey of the Renaissance World Tour, from its inception, to the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the finale in Kansas City, Missouri.
“It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft. Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy, for more than 2.7 million fans.”
The Break My Soul singer adds in the visual: “When I am performing, I am nothing but free. The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free, and no one is judged. Start over, start fresh, create the new — that’s what the Renaissance is about.”
