Betty Boo has released One Day as the second single from her new album ‘Rip Up The Rulebook’.
On the back of lead release It Was Beautiful (feat. HEX), the ’90s icon has dropped a second track from her fourth studio album, paying homage to her hip-hop roots.
Listen to One Day below.
The track is the second to be lifted from ‘Rip Up The Rulebook’, due August 30 on her Betty Boo Records label, with the 12-song set serving as the follow-up to 2022’s comeback LP ‘Boomerang’.
On the album, the Doin’ The Do star says: “I loved making ‘Boomerang’ so much that I kept writing. I’m very proud of these songs and grateful to be back creating music full time.
“The album title ‘Rip Up The Rulebook’ is my response to stereotypical ideas about what women should be doing in their 50s.
“I have never had so much fun making music (with my friends Andy Wright and Gavin Goldberg). Long may it continue.”
The title track is a collaboration with Grandmaster Caz – the author of the lyrics to Rapper’s Delight.
‘Rip Up The Rulebook’ is available to pre-save here. Pre-order from the Official Betty Boo Store.
