Betty Boo has revealed details of her first album in three decades.
It’s been 30 years since the star released her second LP ‘GRRR! It’s Betty Boo’ and, after dropping her latest track Shining Star, she opened up about her next full-length project.
“Yes, there is an album,” she said. “Yep, there is. We’re going to release a couple more singles and then the album, which will have some very exciting collabs on there.
“I think you’re going to love them and I’m excited for you to hear them.”
Betty Boo returned earlier this year with her comeback hit Get Me To The Weekend, which features a sample of The Human League’s Love Action.
Speaking to The Guardian’s Observer magazine, the star recently reflected on her new music and penchant for “bringing together retro things and making them sound modern”.
“It’s a continuation of where I began,” she explained. “Doin’ the Do sped up Reparata and the Delrons’ Captain of Your Ship, after all.”
The 24 Hours singer continued: “I’ve also been doing more stuff with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, David Gray and an exciting rap legend who I can’t mention yet. I’m enjoying myself.”
