Belinda Carlisle is preparing to release new music in early 2023.
It’s been more than 25 years since the Leave a Light On hitmaker released her most recent commercial pop album ‘A Woman & a Man’, but in a post on social media she confirmed the long-awaited follow-up is on the way.
Alongside a clip of her in the make-up chair, she penned: “I’m making a music video today for the first time in over 25 years.
I'm making a music video today for the first time in over 25 years. It's for a song called "Big, Big Love" that is written by the very talented @Diane_Warren.

“It’s for a song called “Big, Big Love” that is written by the very talented @Diane_Warren,” added Belinda. “The single will be out in February.”
It’s been five years since The Go-Go’s star released ‘Wilder Shores’, her album of Sikh chants, and earlier this year she confirmed she’s been back in the studio.
Sharing a clip on her Stories originally posted by singer-songwriter and producer Gabe Lopez, she penned: “OMG!!!!!! Finally almost done with my new album… 2 ½ years in the making with this plague.”
Although she didn’t share any further details, Lopez previously co-wrote and produced the track Sun from Belinda’s greatest hits album ‘Icon’, released in 2013.
The release of new music coincides with Belinda’s rescheduled ‘Decades’ tour dates. Originally slated for 2021, the gigs were postponed at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and will now take place early 2023.
Performing her biggest hits and fan favourites from throughout her career, Belinda will appear alongside Liverpudlian group The Christians for the shows.
She says: “I was so upset at being forced to postpone my tour last year that I was determined to try and find a way to make it up to my fans… so this is what we came up with!
“I am thrilled that The Christians will now be my special guests on this tour and I hope you all feel the same way.
“They are a fantastic band with a ton of hits and between us we intend to take the roof off! I can’t wait to see you all in February”.
