Bananarama could be set to give their holiday tune Baby It’s Christmas a new lease of life.
This December marks 10 years since the duo released their fabulously camp festive number digitally and, in a recent interview, they mused the idea of reviving the fan-favourite for the holidays.
When asked by Pink News if there are any plans for a re-release, singer Sara Dallin said: “I think we should get it remixed… I did enquire about doing that several weeks ago, but had no response…”
Keren Woodward jokes: “A remix would be good. Something different. Is it a bit late now?… We can’t do vinyl. Then we’d have to do a bloody sleeve!”
While they insist nothing’s set in stone as yet, Sara teased: “Maybe for next year!”
Baby It’s Christmas came after the girls released their 10th album Viva, which featured the hits Love Comes and Love Don’t Live Here. It was followed by the three-track Now or Never EP.
It’s been a busy year for Bananarama, who celebrated the 25th anniversary of their seventh album Ultra Violet with a digital and vinyl release, and went on to release their first-ever memoir, Really Saying Something, in October.
