Avril Lavigne has confirmed new music is on the way.
The singer returned earlier this year with Flames, a collaboration with her boyfriend Mod Sun, plus the Willow collaboration Grow, and there looks to be more new tracks coming soon.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday, September 12, she teased: “I’m dropping new music in a month.
“I have a lot of collaborations on this new record of mine. Maybe a collab with MGK [Machine Gun Kelly] and some other cool artists like that… Travis Barker…
“The album’s super rock and roll, pop-punk, and it’s a good time,” she added, before reiterating plans to drop tracks “in a month or two”.
It’s not just her seventh album that’s on the way – Avril also confirmed she’ll be hitting the road with a new tour in 2022.
It’s been three years since the singer released her most recent LP ‘Head Above Water’ and, in a post on her website earlier this year, the Girlfriend hitmaker shared a series of snaps of herself with the message: “Album Coming Soon”.
