Annie Lennox called for a ceasefire in Palestine during her performance at the Grammys on Sunday (February 4) night.
The singer performed as part of the In Memoriam segment, during which she paid tribute to Sinéad O’Connor with a rendition of Nothing Compares 2 U.

At the end of the performance, she raised one arm in the air and said: “Artists for a ceasefire. Peace in the world.”
Lennox appeared alongside Stevie Wonder and Jon Batiste as part of the segment, during which the former remembered his friend Tony Bennett with a version of For Once In My Life, duetting with a video recording of Bennett, and The Best Is Yet To Come.
Subsequently, Batiste concluded the segment with covers of Bill Withers’ Ain’t No Sunshine and Sound Of Blackness’ About Optimistic.
