Annie Lennox called for a ceasefire in Palestine during her performance at the Grammys on Sunday (February 4) night.

The singer performed as part of the In Memoriam segment, during which she paid tribute to Sinéad O’Connor with a rendition of Nothing Compares 2 U.

Kudos to Annie Lennox for her #Grammys rendition of Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares to You” followed by the call: “Artists for ceasefire and peace in the world.” How else could you do an “in remembrance” segment during a genocide? pic.twitter.com/EeBiiP4aYi

At the end of the performance, she raised one arm in the air and said: “Artists for a ceasefire. Peace in the world.”
