Adam Lambert is working on a new bunch of songs set to appear in a theatre show.
The ‘American Idol’ runner-up returned in 2020 with his fourth solo LP ‘Velvet’ and, according to the star, he’s already busy preparing new tracks.
“I am working on a new album a concept album for a musical actually that I am creating so that should be coming out probably next year,” he tells BANG Showbiz.
“I will be the star of the album it will be my voice so yes my album will be, that will be all me.”
Revealing how the project is coming together, Adam adds: “I’m working with a lot of people, it’s a dream team of collaborators.
“We have songwriters that I really respect, we have some other artists that are collaborating with me, professionals in a bunch of different disciplines.
“It’s gonna be quite a project.”
In addition to Adam’s new solo project, there could also be more new music from Queen on the horizon, as Brian May and Roger Taylor have been in the studio with Adam – who stepped into Freddie’s shoes for Queen’s live shows – to work on tracks.
Despite Brian May apparently “losing interest” in the recording, Roger Taylor previously revealed: “We started it in Nashville when we were all quite tired.
“We couldn’t decide on a title and the lyric felt a little too negative for Queen, maybe. But it was pretty damn good, and I hope it comes to light.”
