Rozalla has released a new version of You & I from her latest album ‘Turn On The Light’.
The track – a cover of J.K.’s 1994 club hit – has been reworked by Nicholson for its single release, which is out now across digital platforms.
The single version is accompanied by extended, dub and extended dub mixes. A CD edition is also available.

Released earlier this year, ‘Turn On The Light’ is Rozalla’s first album in 25 years and, speaking to RETROPOP, she admits she’s given up chasing the glory of past hits like Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good), choosing instead to follow her muse and create music that fulfils her.
“Around 15 years ago I decided I wasn’t going to let it get me down, because the fact is you can never recreate something that was so big because life keeps evolving,” she shared.
“I would love to have another hit like Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good) – who wouldn’t – but also, I’ve always wanted to move on and do different styles of music and get so caught up in this dance music diva thing, which I have been and which I probably still am to a point.
“And I’m grateful for that, but also there’s been a downside to it and now I want to do some ballads and some mid-tempos, which I think we’ve achieved on this album.”
In a review of the album, RETROPOP called ‘Turn On The Light’ “a selection of standout originals and hand-selected cover versions that radiate energy and sound effortlessly current”.
