Nineties star Haddaway is back with his brand new single, Lift Your Head Up.
The track is the first to be lifted from the What Is Love? star’s forthcoming studio album – his first since 2005’s ‘Pop Splits’ – and takes his sound in a synth-driven, ’80s-inspired direction.
Billed as “a ray of musical sunshine and hope in the darkest times”, the track “emerged from the depths of the pandemic as a part of an incredible 12-song collection with original keyboard sounds of 80s and 90s which Haddaway grew up with”, reads a blurb to the song’s music video.
“Composed in isolation and initially recorded with the help of a mobile phone and mobile studio , this track stands testament to the unstoppable spirit of creativity. Brought to full life in a Dubai studio with the masterful touch of producer Paul Keenan, it’s a song that resonates with the resilience of the human heart.”
Released on Creator Records, it follows his 2022 release And Now, which was billed as the lead single from the as-yet-to-be-released LP, ‘Day After Day’.
