‘Barbie’ was a box office smash over the summer – and now it looks set to sweep the board at the Grammys too.
The Mark Ronson-produced soundtrack to the movie, directed by Greta Gerwig, scored 11 nominations as part of the 2024 shortlist, including recognition in some of the biggest categories.
Dua Lipa’s Dance The Night, Barbie World by Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice (featuring Aqua) and Billie Eilish’s What Was I Made For? all appear, along with I’m Just Ken by Ryan Gosling, which features in the Best Song Written For Visual Media category.
Eilish also features in that category, as well as Record Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Song Of The Year (plus Best Music Video, which isn’t credited to ‘Barbie The Album’).
