Kylie Minogue and Tears For Fears lead an all-star line-up of stars set to perform in Victoria Park, Leicester for BBC Radio 2 in the Park.
Taking place on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17, the station’s biggest ever live music event outside of London sees the Mad World group perform their only UK festival appearance this year on the first night.
Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith said: “We love playing live and can’t wait to bring some of our favourite songs, old and new, to thousands of Radio 2 listeners.”
Meanwhile, Kylie is headlining Sunday night with her first live UK concert performance for four years.
She beamed: “Over the years I’ve done many unique and varied performances for BBC Radio 2.
“I’m so excited to be headlining Radio 2 in the Park in Leicester later this year! I can’t wait to celebrate with you all, see you September 17th!”
Also featured on the line-up is Soft Cell, Simply Red, Bananarama, Texas, Rick Astley, Deacon Blue, Beverley Knight, Busted and more.
For the first time, there will be a Radio 2 DJ stage where some of the station’s favourite presenters will be playing the best music from the past seven decades.
Tickets for Radio 2 in the Park go on sale Wednesday, June 14 at 8.15am BST.
