Avril Lavigne is set to document the highs and lows of her two-decade career as part of a new Disney+ film.
According to The Sun’s Bizarre column, the new project from the Complicated singer will explore her journey into the music industry and the recording of her debut album ‘Let Go’, which was released when she was just 17.
A source said: “Avril has been hard at work on this in-depth documentary for a while now and the makers have hundreds of hours of footage.
“She talks at length about her life in the film, from how she got her break in music. Some of her showbiz pals will also be in the film talking about her.
“Avril was a teenager when she released her hit debut album so her career has been really interesting. There’s a lot to talk about.”
In addition to her chart-topping career, which delivered massive hits such as Sk8er Boi, I’m With You, Girlfriend and What The Hell, the film will reportedly cover her relationships with Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley and Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger, and her battle with Lyme disease.
A release date for the project, which is being produced by James Corden’s company Fulwell 73. has yet to be confirmed.
