Human League to celebrate Dare 40th anniversary with UK tour

The Human League will perform their seminal album Dare in its entirety to celebrate the record’s 40th anniversary next year.

The group will hit the road in December 2021 to mark the milestone, with the 12-date jaunt kicking off on December 3rd in Leeds and hitting cities including Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and Cardiff, before concluding in Bournemouth on December 18th.

A date at London’s SSE Wembley Arena is also booked for December 11th.

“Yes it’s true,” the Life on Your Own stars wrote on social media. Next year it really will be forty years since the release of DARE and, to celebrate, we will be performing this classic album in it’s entirety, as well as many other tracks from our extensive back catalogue, across arenas and theatres throughout December 2021.”

Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey and Altered Images are both onboard as support acts for the trek.

Tickets are available from 9.00 am UK time on Wednesday 29th July here, with general sale opening from Friday 30th July.

Dare, released October 16th, 1981, is widely regarded as the group’s most successful and influential album, containing four hit singles including the international smash Don’t You Want Me. The album reached number 1 in the UK and was a Top 3 US hit.
