Rising star Conal Kelly has released his new EP ‘Anxiety’.
The Bristol-born singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist’s latest release tackles his experiences of the subject matter head-on.
Of the collection, which features his recent releases Mallory (Nobody Quite Like You) and Pyromaniac, he tells Retro Pop: It’s a silly little thing for me, but I get massively anxious about releasing music.
“It’s the biggest source of anxiety that I have, so I thought it would be kind of amusing to call it that and flip it on his head a little bit.”
Conal has spent the past 12 months climbing the ranks in the music world, reaching new audiences thanks to a spot on the BBC Introducing Live tour.
Of the experience, he adds: “It’s been really good and I’ve been super busy. It’s an interesting time, because when you work towards a body of work you pour your heart and soul into it, and then when it comes out, that’s when the work starts!
“But it’s really fun and it’s nice to tie everything that’s been going on over the last couple of years into a cohesive body of work.”
‘Anxiety’ is available now.
