Joni Mitchell is set to release the latest ‘The Asylum Albums 1972-1975’, the latest instalment in her archive series.
The music legend joined Asylum Records in 1972, following her original album series with Reprise Records, and released four long-players under the label
The new collection features versions of ‘For The Roses’ (1972), ‘Court And Spark’ (1974), and ‘The Hissing Of Summer Lawns’ (1975), along with the double live album ‘Miles Of Aisles’ (1974).
The collection will be released on September 23 and is available to pre-order now.
News of the project comes after Joni made a surprise appearance with Brandi Carlile at Newport Folk Festival last month.
The music legend took the stage for a her first full musical set in over two decades, featuring cuts from across her six-decade career, including classics such as Both Sides Now and A Case Of You.
In footage shared by fans online, the pair are seen performing from elaborate seats on the stage, with Joni showcasing her iconic vocals, which remain as rich as on her final album, 2007’s ‘Shine’.
