Simple Minds will release their new album ‘Direction Of The Heart’ this autumn.
The Scottish rockers will unveil the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Walk Between Worlds’ on October 21, with lead single Vision Thing out now.
The new track is a tribute to vocalist Jim Kerr’s late father, who passed away in 2019.

Of the album, he says: “How to make a feel-good ‘electro-rock’ record, during the very worst of times?
“‘Direction Of The Heart’ is the result of that challenge. Who would have thought we’d have so much fun creating it?”
Elsewhere on the album, Sparks singer Russell Mael appears on the track Human Traffic, with the band expected to debut new material during their set at Radio 2 Live in Leeds at Temple Newsam Park on September 17.
