Vengaboys have partnered with Dutch brewery and bar Two Chefs Brewing to launch a limited edition Strawberry Milkshake IPA beer.
The beer will be released in the Netherlands on October 11 to coincide with International Coming Out Day, with a release throughout Europe coming at a later date.
The partnership came about after Two Chefs Brewing and Vengaboys met amid the pandemic and realised their shared ambitions of working hard to bring more positivity, inclusivity and openness to the world.
They created the milkshake IPA with a hint of strawberry and appropriately named Gender Fluid, making the drink truly inclusive.
The proceeds of this collaboration will benefit Man.ish Cave – a Netherlands based organisation that strives for a safer space for non-binary people of whatever colour, gender or background – and Trans Magazine, a non-profit annual magazine and online platform made for and by a (trans)gender diverse team.
Both organisations are committed to making the world a more open and inclusive place.
The release comes after Vengaboys returned earlier this year with their cover of Charli XCX and Troye Sivan’s hit 1999.
After thrilling fans with new music, the group told Retro Pop they’d love for Charli to hop on a remix of the tune.
“That would be so awesome,” beamed Kim Sasabone. “We’d love to work with her!”
Robin Pors added: “Absolutely… Charli, just call us!”
