Anastacia has been unmasked as the winner of ‘The Masked Singer Australia’.
The I’m Outta Love singer was revealed as the famous face behind the Vampire costume on the show – after judges Dannii Minogue and Jackie O both correctly guessed her identity.
However, the show’s remaining panelists were shocked by the victor, with Dave Hughes and Urzila Carlson failing to recognise her distinctive tone.

Explaining she signed up for the programme after the Covid-19 pandemic shut down the entertainment world, Anastacia said: “That is just what our reality is as performers. We have no stages to go on, we can’t have crowds, and I understand that because I want to keep people safe, but I miss doing my job and I really, really miss singing.
“This was such a beautiful, like, get out of jail free card. I don’t know when I’m gonna be able to tour. I’m hopeful, but I might be 75 by the time I get on the stage.”
During her time on the show, the Left Outside Alone star performed tracks including Bonnie Tyler’s Holding Out For a Hero and Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley.
Following a group performance of Kylie Minogue’s On a Night Like This, the final saw singer/actor Axle Whitehead finish in third place after being unmasked as Mullet, with comedian Em Rusciano’s Dolly finishing runner-up.
