Cheryl is set to celebrate her love of R&B music with a new show on BBC Sounds.
The Girls Aloud star, who put her music-releasing career on hold following the release of 2019 single Let You, will front the 12-part series ‘You, Me & R&B’.
During the programme, the singer will discuss her passion for music and her favourite artists, including Beyonce and TLC.
“I’ve always had an absolute love and passion for R&B, so I’m hoping listeners are transported back and absorbed in their own nostalgia too,” she said.
“Music can be really healing when you’re going through something painful or happy.
“By revisiting those moments, you can take back your power. I’ve discovered that throughout the process.”
The first episode in the series is live now on BBC Sounds.
Cheryl shot to fame in Girls Aloud alongside Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh, after winning TV talent show ‘Popstars: The Rivals’.
The group had been set to reunite to mark their 20th anniversary in 2022 but, amid Sarah’s cancer battle, the plans are believed to have been scrapped.
Nadine recently shared a heartbreaking update on her bandmate’s health, admitting she’s “not doing too well”.
