Steps are slowing things down for the final promo single from their new album.
Riding high on the release of the second single from What The Future Holds, the massive banger Something In Your Eyes, the group will drop Hold My Heart as a teaser track on Friday 13th.
While little is known about the new tune, it has been described as one of the album’s downtempo ballads by the band.
The change in a different direction from Steps’ previous album, the massive Tears on the Dance Floor, comes as the group endeavours to showcase the “true essence of Steps”.
“I think people mistake what we are,” says Faye Tozer in a press release. “People don’t realise it’s the pure pop, it’s the soul of the pop song that really drives Steps forward.
“Outsiders looking in maybe don’t understand Steps, but we know the soul of it from the inside out,” she adds.
Steps made a sensational comeback in September with the Sia-penned title track from their forthcoming LP – which they followed with mid-tempo ballad Under My Skin.
