Will Young has released Crying on the Bathroom Floor as the latest single from his forthcoming eighth studio album.
The singer will release his covers collection on August 6 and, one month before the LP drops, he’s shared his re-working of the Muna track.
Alongside the single, Will has also released an official music video, featuring the star performing an interpretive dance routine to the upbeat track.
His new LP is the star’s second collaboration with Richard X, who produced ‘Lexicon’ and the hit single All The Songs. ‘Crying on the Bathroom Floor‘ has 10 tracks in total.
Speaking about the project, Will says: “I’ve always enjoyed singing other people’s songs. There is a liberation to it. It’s how I feel when I approach a script. I have reverence for the piece of art and the artist who created it
“After 18 years of recording and performing a lot of original material, I loved the idea of creating an album that celebrates some of the modern female artists I so admire in pop.”
‘Crying on the Bathroom Floor’, due August 6, is available to pre-order now on CD, Standard Black and Deluxe Marbled Turquoise Vinyl, and Sage Green Cassette. A Signed CD and Photo Card bundle is available via Amazon.
