Wham!’s holiday classic Last Christmas is the UK’s final No. 1 single of 2022.
The duo’s festive staple returns to the top spot on the Singles Chart after previously knocking Mariah Carey off the peak position early in December.
It racked an impressive 79,000 combined chart units over the past seven days – once again becoming UK’s most-streamed track of the week – with Mariah’s All I Want For Christmas Is You in at No. 2
Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran & Elton John’s Merry Christmas is in at No. 3, with Brenda Lee’s 1962 hit Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree reaching its highest-ever peak at No. 4 and Stormzy’s Firebabe returning to No. 5.
Over on the Albums Chart, Michael Bublé is riding high at No. 1 with ‘Christmas’ – from which It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas is a No. 7 single – while Taylor Swift’s ‘Midnights’ drops to No. 2.
Rising to No. 3 is SZA’s second studio LP ‘SOS’, while Ed Sheeran and Elton John complete the Top 5 with ‘=’ and ‘Diamonds’ at No. 4 and 5, respectively.
