Sonia made a triumphant return to the Eurovision stage on Saturday night with her classic hit Better The Devil You Know.
The hitmaker has been an integral part of this year’s Contest, which was held in her home city of Liverpool on behalf of last year’s winners Ukraine.
During the Grand Final, she took part in a segment titled The Liverpool Songbook, which featured past contestants performing songs by artists hailing from the city.
It included Italy’s Mahmood honouring John Lennon with a moving rendition of Imagine, Israel’s Netta celebrating the late Pete Burns with Dead or Alive classic You Spin Me Round (Like a Record), and Sweden’s Cornelia Jakobs performing I Turn To You by Melanie C.
Following a dramatic introduction recalling the tense vote between Sonia and Ireland’s Niamh Kavanagh – who pipped her to the top spot by just one vote – the former Hit Factory star appeared flanked by dancers to belt out her iconic entry.
