Mariah Carey celebrated her seminal album ‘The Emancipation Of Mimi’ (2005) with a dazzling medley performance at the 2024 American Music Awards.
During the 50th anniversary edition of the show, the diva took to the stage at the LA Center Studios in Los Angeles, California to perform two No. 1 singles from the LP: We Belong Together and Don’t Forget About Us.
Wearing a white sequin gown and diamond jewellery, the 10-time AMA winner emerged from behind a giant pink ‘M’ as she marked the upcoming 20th anniversary of the record.
She recently discussed the impact of ‘The Emancipation Of Mimi’ with Billboard, saying: “People had written me off. And the song of the decade with We Belong Together – it had to be that big of a record for me to actually have a comeback.”
