Dua Lipa covered Kylie Minogue‘s 2001 classic, Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, during her concert in Melbourne on Thursday (March 20).
Talking to the stage at the Road Laver arena as part of her ‘Radical Optimism’ world tour for the third of four scheduled shows at the venue, the Physical hitmaker surprised fans by performing the chart-topping track by the Aussie icon.
“This next part always keeps us on our toes a little bit, because every night we do something different,” she said during the section where she and the band perform a cover of a classic track.
“It’s always exciting because there are some songs that don’t need much of an introduction,” she added, noting the song was by “an Aussie legend” before breaking into a rendition of Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.
Wednesday’s show saw Lipa deliver a performance of Torn, popularised by another Australian singer, Natalie Imbruglia, while on Monday she performed rock classic Highway To Hell by Aussie rockers, AC/DC.
