Tia Kofi is back with their third EP, ‘Pride. Power. Pop.’.
The collection boasts five dance pop tunes including recent singles, the Topham and Twigg-penned Curious and a cover of Lena’s Satellite, along with the new single, Standing Up For The Lonely.
Written by pop legends Xenomania and produced by dance guru Parx and Shortland, the track was originally a 2009 club hit for Jessie Malakouti and has been reworked for the drag superstar.
Also included on ‘Pride. Power. Pop.’ is Tia’s 2022 single, So Good, and the MRSHLL and SPJay collaboration, Heart Beating (Keep On Dancing).

Earlier this year, RETROPOP caught up with Tia to discuss their latest music and when it comes to the follow-up to last year’s ‘Part 2: The Antidote’ EP, the tracks on ‘Pride. Power. Pop.’ would make the perfect ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ lip sync tracks.
“I guess it would be difficult because we’re all Mama Ru’s children and she doesn’t have favourites,” said Tia, before quickly adding: “But if they did, I would absolutely be here for a lip sync to Curious or [2021 Little Boots and Tom Aspaul-penned single] Outside In!”
