Thereza Bazar has resurrected Dollar for a brand new version of the classic hit single Hand Held In Black & White.
The track sees the singer team up with vocalist Steven Fox, with whom she’s currently performing across the UK as part of their ‘Oh L’Tour’ run of shows.
Available as a three-track digital single, with mixes courtesy of Matt Pop including an Extended version as well as Thereza’s Angelic Dub.

Having put her history with Dollar – previously starring David Van Day – firmly in the past for so long, Thereza opened up about reviving the act in an interview with RETROPOP, explaining: “Three years ago, I was asked to write a book and that made me start listening to my music again and revisiting all the things that I did.
“It was like opening Pandora’s Box – bang, one thing led to another and that’s why I’m here at this point.”
The vocalist went on to insist a reunion of the classic line-up is off the cards. “David doesn’t talk to me and he hasn’t in a long time. I don’t think his wife likes me very much because I made a comment about them both performing Mirror Mirror on an episode of ‘Come Dine With Me’, saying if they want to murder a song, please choose a Bucks Fizz one,” she shrugged, referencing his ill-fated tenure with their ‘80s chart peers.
“With all that history, it should be water under the bridge, but at 68 I just go, ‘That’s OK’, because I have other stuff going on. Stephen is amazing; we have a synchronicity and he’s creative, so it’s all new and fresh and we’re going to do it our way, which is going to be fun!”
She added: “There’s a new love and respect for older people in the entertainment world. There’s a real shift. In the ‘80s you had to be young, but there’s been a change and, also, with maturity comes this incredible courage and freedom to go out and do whatever I want, which has just been liberating!”
