The Weeknd has fans in a frenzy after he appeared to tease his upcoming album on social media.
The Blinding Lights singer – real name Abel Tesfaye – shared a post featuring the artwork for his two most recent albums, ‘After Hours’ (2020) and ‘Dawn FM’ (2022), followed by a third image featuring a question mark and an explicit content warning.
He captioned the post with an emoji featuring the number three.
It’s since racked up over 125,000 likes and 30,000 reposts on the platform, with fans taking to the comments to speculate on its meaning.
“LETS FUCKING GOOOOO IVE BEEN LISTENING TO DAWN FM FOR 2 YEARS STRAIGHT,” wrote one user, while a second urged the star to “DROP THE ALBUM NOWWW”.
Others speculated as to whether the third image was in fact the artwork for his new album – the third in the trilogy – or whether, like his previous offerings, the actual image would feature the performer.
Some considered the cover could feature The Weeknd as a child, since ‘After Hours’ saw him in the present day and ‘Dawn FM’ featured an aged image.
