The Police have released a festive music video for their 1980 UK No. 1 hit Don’t Stand So Close To Me.
The group shot the video in in Grey Rock, Quebec, Canada in the winter of that year, while they were on tour through Canada and the US.
It was shot in the same location as the De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da music video.
Originally the band were due to perform a concert at Montreal’s Centre Sportif on the day of the filming, but the performance was rescheduled to January 7, 1981.
Now, the clip has been unearthed and released digitally 41 years later for fans to enjoy over Christmas 2021.
Don’t Stand So Close To Me featured on The Police’s 1980 UK No. 1 album ‘Zenyatta Mondatta’.
