The Killers look set to top the UK charts this week with ‘Rebel Diamonds’.
The band’s latest 20-song compilation celebrates 20 years of hits, featuring classics from their catalogue along with the new song, Spirit.
In the first look at Friday’s (December 15) update, Brandon Flowers and co. are outselling their nearest competition – courtesy of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2’ – more than 2:1.
Should they hold onto the position, the group will land their first No. 1 greatest hits album, after their previous retrospective, ‘Direct Hits’ (2013), peaked at No. 5.
In a review of the album, RETROPOP said ‘Rebel Diamonds’ is “packed with hits” but that it “comes across more as a substitute for the record that fell through than a wholehearted celebration of the group’s success to date”.
