The Fizz are back in the studio working on the follow-up to their 2020 album Smoke & Mirrors.
The group released their third album with legendary producer Mike Stock earlier this year, featuring the singles Winning Ways, From Here To Eternity, and The World We Left Behind.
The trio also worked with the producer on The F-Z Of Pop and Christmas With The Fizz and, in honour of the band’s 40th anniversary in 2021, they’re already prepping a brand new record.
Cheryl Baker tells Cheer Up ‘Chats’: “It’s our 40th anniversary next year and we are really excited about it!
“There’s all sorts of fabulous things in the pipeline… the main thing is that we’re going into the studio with Mike Stock to do album number four for The Fizz,” she reveals.
The star goes on to tease the group is also planning, “a big gig on the actual anniversary, which is April 4th,” but that, “It’s dependent on this Covid situation – if it’s going to ease off or not”.
“So yeah, big things next year,” she gushes.
The Fizz released their latest single, The World We Left Behind, with a new extended mix and music video, back in July. Check them out here.
