Texas are back with Hi – the title track and lead single from their forthcoming 10th studio album.
The Sharleen Spiteri-fronted group returned just before Christmas with the surprise release of another version of Hi, featuring Wu-Tang Clan, which was met with unanimous praise.
Following the success, the band hit up BBC Radio 2 on Monday, January 11th to premiere their solo version of the track – the first to be lifted from their new LP.
“‘Hi’, our new single is out now,” tweeted the group.
“This is the original version of the song we recorded last year and will feature on our new album – more details to follow shortly.”
According to a press release, Texas’ new album – the follow-up to 2017’s Jump on Board – is packed with “pure Texas gold… easily rivalling the best music of their stellar career”.
A release date has yet to be confirmed.
