Take That will play a one-off Radio 2 In Concert gig in November to celebrate the release of their latest album, ‘This Life’.

The trio – starring Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen – will play the intimate show at the BBC Radio Theatre at Broadcasting House on November 21, the week of the LP release.

“We can’t wait for Radio 2 In Concert. It’s such an honour to be asked to play such a prestigious show,” says the band. “At the heart of things, it’s a special and intimate show, but to also know how many fans will be tuning in from home – it takes the experience to another level. We are so excited to play songs from our new album live for the first time ever and of course revisit old favourites from the past. And the cherry on top is getting to see the wonderful Jo Whiley.”

Whiley adds: “Take That’s Gary, Howard and Mark are quite simply national treasures. Their music is the soundtrack to so many of our lives and their live performances never disappoint, so I can’t wait to see them perform in this exclusive Radio 2 concert.”

Additionally, the group will front their own episode of BBC Two’s ‘Reel Stories’, hosted by Dermot O’Leary, which is also set to air in November.

“We love watching ‘Reel Stories’ and of course couldn’t say no to our old friend Dermot,” the group continues. “Reliving the last 30 years we’ve spent together really was a journey. A lot of laughs, remembering times we thought we’d forgotten, possibly purposefully! It never ceases to humble us how fortunate we are to have had such an accomplished career as a band.”

The group’s concert will be broadcast on Radio 2 and BBC Sounds on November 23, and soon after on BBC Two. Tickets will be allocated via ballot, with registration open through November 6 at 9pm GMT. Apply here.

“It’s been a wonderful experience being back in the studio together making this record. It has that feeling of spreading your wings, letting out the old and bringing in the new,” says the band of their forthcoming album, out November 17.

‘We’re incredibly proud of the new album – there’s a sense of togetherness, whether that’s us coming back together as a band or people wanting connection in their own lives.  We’re excited for this new chapter!”

Alongside the LP, the trio will embark on a huge stadium and arena tour in 2024, playing 29 dates across 15 cities around the UK and Ireland, launching in April with shows through July.

They will be joined on the tour by very special guest, Olly Murs.
