Take That are hoping to land a coveted Las Vegas residency show in 2023.
The group has been on a hiatus while frontman Gary Barlow focusses on his solo career, during which time he released two albums, ‘Music Played by Humans’ and ‘The Dream of Christmas’, but he, Mark Owen and Howard Donald are planning to reconvene in 2022.
Opening up about their plans for the future, Gary reveals the band was “so close” to signing an agreement for a concert series in Sin City prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, and they hope to resume discussions soon.
“Just before lockdown we were so close to signing contracts to do a residency in Vegas and we want to do that,” he tells Heat magazine.
“It won’t be next year, but we’re hoping for 2023.”
Gary adds: “It’s something we all want to do and I think our fans would love it.”
Opening up on the future of the group, the Rule the World singer previously insisted “collaborations and features” are the way forward.
“People have hit records from collaborations, from features,” he explained. “There are definitely hit records for us still to be had if we want to go down that route, and that is a choice.”
