Spice Girls songwriter Richard ‘Biff’ Stannard reveals the group has a vault of unreleased demo recordings he’s desperate to put out.
Biff, along with co-writer Matt Rowe, penned the band’s massive debut hit Wannabe, among others – including recently released recording Feed Your Love.
And there’s plenty more where that came from, with the musician hinting at an archive of unreleased material sitting on the shelf.
“There are other demos, I know that’s a big question you all want to know,” he said during a recent Instagram Live stream.
“The decision about other demos isn’t mine, but there are other demos and there’s stuff going on. But I can’t confirm.”
He added: “I’d like the other demo releases to happen too, of course I would.
“You’ve got to remember that there’s five girls — it’s their decision, it’s not mine. I’m just part of it.
“I can ask them and do puppy dog eyes but it’s their decision at the end of the day.
“They’ve had control from the very beginning so they will decide as a group.”
One fan-favourite track, W.O.M.A.N., was performed by the group in 1999 but has never been released in its completed form.
But Biff is hopeful it’ll eventually come out – perhaps to celebrate the anniversary of the girl group’s third album ‘Forever’.
To celebrate 25 years of their debut, the group recently released a four-track ‘Wannabe 25’ EP, featuring the classic single, remixes and an original demo, plus new track Feed Your Love, co-written by Biff and Matt along with Spice Girls.
Spice Girls released their first single on July 8 1996, propelling the group to the top of the charts in the UK, US and worldwide, and marking the first of many anthems for the iconic band.
