Sophie Ellis-Bextor performed her final Kitchen Disco show on Friday (April 9) night.
The Catch You hitmaker began the live stream series during the first lockdown in March 2020, and continued the jaunt with 20 shows live from her home.
As restrictions in the UK prepare to ease, the star performed her final show this week, and delivered an emotional rendition of her 2013 single Young Blood, which she dedicated to her stepfather John.
John, who married Sophie’s mum Janet in 1988, lost his battle with cancer last year, after the family began isolating early in the pandemic in a bid to protect him.
The Move This Mountain singer performed the song, which originally featured on her fifth solo LP ‘Wanderlust’, as the opening song in her ‘After Party’ encore section.
In the main set, she performed classic hits including Take Me Home (A Girl Like Me), Murder on the Dancefloor and Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love), plus recent single Crying At The Discotheque.
The full setlist for the final Kitchen Disco is as follows:
- Take Me Home (A Girl Like Me)

- Crying at the Discoteque (Alcazar cover)
- Heartbreak (Make Me a Dancer)
