Sophie Ellis-Bextor has released Murder On The Dancefloor as a single on digital platforms – featuring the original B-side Never Let Me Down and a bunch of remixes.
After a whirlwind few weeks for the 2001 single after being featured on the ‘Saltburn’ soundtrack, the pop icon has uploaded the single – featuring three remixes previously unavailable digitally – across platforms.
It comes as the track continues to climb the charts globally, including in the US where it reached a new peak of No. 98 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Sophie’s debut on the chart.
As of today the song sits at No. 23 on the worldwide Spotify charts.

The pop anthem features in the final scene of the movie, in which actor Barry Keoghan is seen dancing in the nude to the song.
And Sophie’s already working on new music, according to her husband Richard Jones, who responded to a fan’s calls on X to “come back with disco dance”.
He teased: “Don’t you worry. Sophie’s been talking about this way before what’s happening with Murder.. weeks before Saltburn we’ve already had CD [Cathy Dennis] and RX [Richard X] in our house.
“Bangers are incoming!”
Dennis co-wrote Sophie’s 2007 single Catch You, while Richard collaborated with her on the 2011 single Starlight.
