Sonia’s unreleased fourth LP ‘Love Train – The Philly Album’ will finally be made available this summer.
Featuring a selection of cover versions from the Philadelphia International Records catalogue, the album was preceded by the single Wake Up Everybody in 1995.
However, due to poor commercial response to the track, the LP was ultimately pulled, only being issued as a promo in 1998.
Confirming the new release, Sonia penned in a social media announcement: “Energise Recordings is teaming up with Sonia to bring you this fantastic unreleased album on Digital, Coloured Vinyl & CD.
“The album has been remastered by the original producer Steve Levine. More info to follow!”
‘Love Train – The Philly Album’ is available to pre-order via Energise Records from Sunday, March 12.
Sonia released her chart-topping debut single You’ll Never Stop Me Loving You in 1989, lifted from her album ‘Everybody Knows’, and scored UK Top 10 hits with Listen to Your Heart and Only Fools (Never Fall in Love), from her self-titled second LP (1991).
In 1993, she represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest with Better The Devil You Know, which finished in second place and served as the title song from her third and – to date – final studio album.
