“If you were unable to see the NSEC 40th anniversary tour in November, you can livestream the glorious second London Hammersmith Apollo show from tomorrow 8pm UK time,” they penned in a social media announcement.
“Partnering with Live Here Now, the stream will feature the two-part show with hits, rarities and an exclusive preview of the new album *Happiness Not Included.
“The package also includes bonus footage and other exclusive content which will be revealed shortly.”
The duo, starring Marc Almond and Dave Ball, added: “The show will be available for you to stream for 72 hours from 8pm UK on December 29th to 8pm UK on January 1st. Plus you can watch it as many times as you like until it expires.
“Guaranteed to lift the spirits and fill those hours between Christmas and New Year!”
Ahead of the release of ‘*Happiness Not Included’, their first album in 20 years, Retro Pop recently caught up with Soft Cell, who revealed they’re planning a massive collaboration with Pet Shop Boys on one of its tracks.
“We’ve known each other for years and there’s never been a rivalry,” Dave shared. “They’ve obviously been a lot more successful in terms of pop.
“They would probably readily admit they are more pure pop than we ever were; we were much more dangerous and challenging things a bit more, whereas the Pet Shop Boys always had an excellent, very pop sensibility.”
He added: “I was talking to Chris Lowe backstage about the possibility of a Pet Shop Boys remix and he said, ‘I love that track, The Purple Zone.’ So that’s a possible contender.”
‘*Happiness Not Included’, which features 10 new tracks, is available to pre-order on CD, vinyl and cassette.
