Simple Minds have released their latest single First You Jump.
The track is set to feature on the group’s 18th album ‘Direction Of The Heart’ and deals with the anxiety of the times and how we will rise above them.
An accompanying music video was filmed in July during the soundcheck for Simple Minds’ concert in the Ancient Theatre Taormina, Sicily.
The stunning, historic setting is captured in panoramic and aerial camera shots, intercut with close ups of the band performing the song on a glorious sunny day.
‘Direction Of The Heart’ features nine new tracks and was recorded at Hamburg’s Chameleon Studios.
Album cut Human Traffic features Sparks frontman Russell Mael and included on the LP is a cover of The Call’s 1983 single The Walls Came Down.
‘Direction Of The Heart’ is out October 21 and available to pre-order now.
