Shania Twain looks set to release new music this summer – and she’s enlisted legendary musician, songwriter and producer T Bone Burnett as a key collaborator on the project.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the Queen of Country Music’s latest LP – the follow-up to her 2023 sixth studio album ‘Queen Of Me‘ – is “all but done” (via The Sun), and in a new Instagram post Twain continued to tease new material.
Alongside a video clip from the recording studio, she penned: “Here’s a video of me and T Bone Burnett working through a guitar part in the studio. More soon!”
Grammy-winner Burnett was a guitarist in Bob Dylan‘s band during the 1970s and went on to work with artists including Elton John, Brandi Carlile, Ringo Starr, and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss on their seminal collaborative album ‘Raising Sand’.
Insiders previously revealed the ‘You’re Still The One’ hitmaker has been crafting the project over the past two years, sharing: “Shania initially started working on the album in early 2024, but put the record on hold to focus on her Come On Over: All The Hits residency in Las Vegas.
“Since then she’s been playing shows across America and hitting the studio,” they added. “She’s really been inspired by being on the road and playing shows once more.
“Shania has always had this deep love of life but turning 60 last summer also reinvigorated her. She’s been super-inspired.”
