Shania Twain is already back in the studio working on the follow-up to her chart-topping sixth album, ‘Queen Of Me’.
The country pop icon’s latest album, featuring the singles Waking Up Dreaming and Giddy Up!, served as the follow-up to 2017’s ‘Now’ and proved a massive hit when it was released earlier this year.
Speaking with The Sun’s Bizarre column, the You’re Still The One hitmaker revealed she’s already set to work on a new batch of songs.
“I’ve got so much music that I wrote over the lockdown periods because I was, out of sheer boredom, needing an outlet for my creativity,” she shared.
“I wrote a ton of stuff. I’ve got enough to make at least two albums right now. That’s been building up and I plan on making a new record as soon as I can.”
It comes after Shania announced her return to the Las Vegas stage with her third series of shows in Sin City at Planet Hollywood’s Bakkt Theater, celebrating 25 years of the record-breaking ‘Come On Over’ (1997).
The superstar made her Sin City debut in 2012 with her ‘Still The One’ residency, which ran through 2014, and she later returned for ‘Let’s Go!’ in 2019, which finally closed last year.
Before then, Shania will return to the stage in Glasgow, Scotland on September 14 with her latest run of shows in support of ‘Queen Of Me‘, after wrapping the first North American leg earlier this year.
“I want to celebrate this new chapter with you all on my tour,” she says. “Vegas has been a dream, but I’m ready to be on the road and sing with you, dance with you and have a kick ass night out with you! This one’s gonna be a big party – no inhibitions, no conditions, let’s get a little out of line!
“I’ll be Queen Of Me – you be Queen of YOU!”
Additionally, Shania and Live Nation have announced that £/€1.50 per ticket sold (less deductions for tax and royalties) will be donated to Shania Kids Can, which provides services that promote positive change in children’s lives in times of crises and economic hardship.
