Shakespears Sister are celebrating 30 years of their classic album ‘Hormonally Yours’ with a brand new reissue.
Originally released in February, 1992 on London Records, the album peaked at No. 3 in the charts and featured the singles Goodbye Cruel World, I Don’t Care, Hello (Turn Your Radio On) and My 16th Apology – along with the mega-hit Stay.
Celebrating three decades of the Ivor Novello-winning LP, a new ‘Menopausal Memories’ edition is available across CD/DVD and limited vinyl variants, featuring the original album plus never-before-seen content.
They penned: “Hello Hello Earthlings. How it can possibly be 30 years since the release of Hormonally Yours we do not know!
“When we started the writing of our second album all those years ago we couldn’t have dreamt of the tremendous success that would follow a year later.
“We used to meet each weekday at 1pm to write (at Marcy’s), gathering inspiration from the movie Cat Women From the Moon. They were fun times and to this day we are both extremely proud of the album we created.
“We’re equally as proud that it appears to have stood the test of time and that people still enjoy listening to the songs we wrote.”
The duo continued: “In celebration of its birthday, we’ve delved back into our archives and worked alongside our comrades at London Records to bring you some wonderful new anniversary editions.
“We hope you like what we’ve been working on. Thanks for your ongoing loyalty. Siobhan and Marcy.”
‘Hormonally Yours: 30th Anniversary Edition’ is available to pre-order now.
