The first Eurovision 2023 Semi-Final saw 15 acts sing it out for a spot in the Grand Final, but only 10 made it through to perform on the night.
Live from the Liverpool Arena, Alesha Dixon, Hannah Waddingham and Julia Sanina hosted the first of three live spectacles as part of this year’s Contest, which included two of this year’s hotly-tipped entries from Finland and Sweden.
Ahead of Saturday’s Grand Final, however, five acts were sent home after coming out at the bottom of the vote from their respective countries, plus France, Germany and Italy, as well as non-participating countries under an aggregated vote as ‘Rest of the World’.
