Sarah Harding rose to fame as 1/5 of one of the UK’s most successful girl groups of all time and, as the star battles “advanced” breast cancer, she’s set to tell her incredible story in her new memoir.
The singer took to social media to confirm the release of ‘Hear Me Out’ – named after the band’s track from their 2004 album ‘What Will the Neighbours Say?’ – which is almost complete, last year.
Reflecting on a tough period in her life, which saw her diagnosed with the devastating illness, Sarah penned: “Hi everyone. Thank you so much for all the messages of love and support that I’ve received since my last post.
“Everyone has been so kind and reading your comments and DMs has been such a huge source of strength to me. I can’t deny that things are tough right now but I’m fighting as hard as I possibly can and being as brave as I know how.

“In September the lovely people at Ebury Publishing asked me if I’d be interested in writing a book about my life story,” recalled the Call the Shots singer.
“It came at such a good time as it’s given me something fun & positive to focus on while I’ve been stuck at home in between trips to the hospital for treatment.
“I’ve nearly finished it now and this week Mum and I have been looking though old photos, choosing which ones to include. It’ll be out after Christmas and I’m really proud of it. I hope you’ll like it. Sending lots of love to everyone – I hope you’re all keeping well – S x.”
Sarah shared a snap of herself in a hospital bed on her Instagram page back in August, revealing she was diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2022.
“A couple of weeks ago I received the devastating news that the cancer has advanced to other parts of my body,” she explained. “I’m currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy sessions and I am fighting as hard as I possibly can.”

According to reports, she had been in talks with her Girls Aloud bandmates about a 20th anniversary reunion in 2022 before the diagnosis.
Hear Me Out is due for release on March 18 and is available to pre-order now.
