Samantha Fox would love to see Sharon Stone play her in a biographical series about the singer and model’s life.
The star, who shot to international fame in 1986 with her massive hit Touch Me (I Want Your Body), is in discussions with a number of production companies about the project, and has opened up about her plans for the series.
Speaking on Loose Women, Samantha insisted there has to be “three different Samantha Foxes; the kid Samantha Fox, the Page 3 girl Samantha Fox – hopefully whoever we cast as the glamour model can sing too – and then obviously an older one as I am now.”
“Who I’d like to play me now is somebody like Sharon Stone,” she mused. “I’d love Sharon Stone to play for me, that would be wonderful!”
After making a name for herself as a glamour model, Samantha transitioned to music in 1986 with hit albums including ‘Touch Me’, ‘Samantha Fox’ and ‘I Wanna Have Some Fun’.
She released her last LP ‘Angel with an Attitude’ in 2005 but, according to fellow singer Katrina Leskanich, there may be new music on the way.
Speaking to Retro Pop around the release of her 2020 album ‘Hearts, Loves & Babys’, she revealed her single I Want to Love Again was originally written for the Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me Now hitmaker.
“I knew how she was suffering when she lost Myra [Stratton, partner, to cancer in 2015], and I knew that she was going to be coming up with a new album and I just said, ‘Can I write you something for it?’ and she said, ‘Yeah, that’d be great’,” explained the Walking on Sunshine star.
“So I sat down, I kind of put myself in her position, but then I also put myself in the position of losing somebody and just wanting to be ready, being ready to love again.”
